About four years ago, I walked down the aisle, not just as a bride, but as someone who had meticulously planned every detail of her own wedding. That experience? I first met Hannah while I was a manager at a wedding venue in 2022. I quickly noticed that the way she operated and conducted both herself and the other vendors was different than others I had worked with prior. She managed the day in a professional manner and made sure each vendor was cared for, as well as all those involved in the wedding, and was just simply easy to get along with. As soon as I got engaged that fall, Hannah was the first person I contacted!
In the months leading up to our wedding, Hannah and I were in frequent contact in planning for other vendors as well as stylistic choices to ensure each factor of the day was planned and accounted for in advance. During our initial planning meeting, I was provided with a packet of recommended vendors, budgeting tips, checklists, and a personalized suggested schedule (which she later edited while working with the photography team). She was always quick to help and even drove a few hours for a planning meeting at my venue to work alongside the venue’s owners and myself.
Day of, I was able to focus on the day and enjoy each moment because of how attentive Hannah was to detail. From recommending other trusted vendors (like our DJ), and caring for an anxious mother of the bride to solving any changes that were needed in response to an unforeseen storm, everything was taken care of without hesitation. Her professional work, alongside her positive attitude, created an atmosphere where everyone had room to feel excited during such a busy day! As my friends get engaged and begin planning their own weddings, Hannah is one of the first names I always suggest! I'm Hannah Shea , the woman behind Simply Shea Events. Yep, you guessed it! The name's inspired by my lovely husband who never fails to remind me of my middle name. He calls me Hannah Shea so I thought it would be a perfect name for my business!
Now, let me give you a sneak peek into my world. First things first, meet my not-so-little fur babies: Maple, my lovely Great Dane who is convinced she’s a lap dog. Willow, my adorable mutt, has a personality as mixed as her breed. They are my wedding planning sidekicks, offering their two cents (or barks) on all things wedding.
Speaking of love, my high school sweetheart and I have been married for 4 lovely years. Who said fairy tales don’t exist outside of storybooks? We were together for 8 years prior to marriage and I couldn’t imagine doing life without this man!
A good cup of coffee? Count me in! My radar's always on for the coziest coffee shops around. And speaking of radar, if there's a deal within a 10-mile radius, consider it hunted down. Bargain hunting? It’s practically my cardio.
Now, you might be wondering how I went from patching up people as an EMT to planning your dream weddings. Well, turns out God had a plot twist in store for me. While I adored my time in the medical field, I realized my true calling was spreading love and creating memorable moments.
On the note of spreading love, let's talk Jesus. He’s my rock, my compass, and my daily reminder that everyone deserves to feel cherished.
